WTF? Honestly, they would of been better off just giving the apology. Not billing her for the afternoon should of just been a given

I do understand that EM and may have read your post incorrectly, but seriously, no matter what you pay the service needs to be exemplary. Any child care service providing less than expert care, no matter the charge should be shut down.
This is not about T shirts or lesser quality material items, this is a child's life. We don't 'pay' for our children to go to school but while there we expect them to be safe. Any school would face the same recriminations should a child be lost or harmed whilst there.

under the new regulations coming in the less than fantastic services will be shut down GC. The new regulations are very very strict and its to not only bring all services Australia wide under the same rules, its to ensure all services run to a high standard and all staff are the best for the job
There is nothing that can make what happened right, not charging them is the absolute least that can be done as an acknowledgement of a stuff up (not a strong enough word)
I tried putting myself in the services shoes last night on how to make that call to the family and just can not think of the words to say to them.
The service is/was slack. I had 63 children on Thursday and knew where every one of them was. At no time should a parent pick their child up and hear where did such and such get to?
If you can do the job, you will know where the children are.
