If he is injured, he should quickly shake hands and end the match.
Not fair on his opponent and the viewers for him to play badly and drag it out. That's poor sportsmanship.

So is needing treatment in his last match as well as this one, no wonder they booed him when he returned to the court.

The commentators said it would take 15 to 20 minutes to work.
Your OH should ask his doctor what are the pain killers tennis players can use so as not to fail a drug test. (Let me know when he finds out the name of thie wonder drug.)

Most likely NSAIDs, they can make a big difference.

Oh lordy my net has been down for the last few hours.
I had picked Stan to win, but sheesh what a frustrating game.
I don't like what's happening.

Getting treatment is not poor sportsmanship. I don't know why the crowd booed, because they don't know the situation. Maybe they were bored waiting for him to come back.
He seems to be making a comeback. His opponent should have knocked him out in the 3rd when he was down.

I think Stan was complaining because he left the court to receive treatment and he wasn't told what the injury was. Stan has dropped the ball, he's hitting the ball straight back to him instead of moving him around the court.
Stan get ya mojo back!!!

I am fed up with him needing treatment early in his matches, and I think a lot of others are the same, thus the booing. Getting treatment isn't poor sportsmanship if you don't make a habit of it.
