YOUR PREDICTIONS ON THE ALP LEADERSHIP

Well, looks like it's going to happen in the next 24 hours or so.

I think Rudd will get in.  I think it will be all over by tomorrow at the latest.

What do you reckon?

Re: YOUR PREDICTIONS ON THE ALP LEADERSHIP

I would love to see a great big "punch up" like they have done in overseas parliaments at times of total stress and chaos. At least we would have a good laugh.

Just listening to KRudd give his same ol same ol speech after announcing he is a candidate for leader.

Sounds like the present PM only the voice is a pitch higher.

Blahdi blahdi blah Boring.

I hope Julie Bishop doesn't get wacked with Chrissy Pyne's  handbag, she should be OK though she could hide behind Tone.

Absolutely, Purple ... it's time to get it settled.  (And, it's a pretty perfect time).

Get the leadership sorted, and then concentrate on some (hopefully new) policies.

I agree and time for respect for the Prime Minister no matter what party he or she is from. I am so over the lack of respect shown by so called adults in this country.

As for Rudd I am in two minds. I am not a big fan of his. He is a bit of a show pony. Think he has done a lot of damage to the government as well. Bitterness and revenge are not a good look. That is my opinion and I do not care if anyone agrees or not.

Re: YOUR PREDICTIONS ON THE ALP LEADERSHIP

It's fascinating me that the results are to be so cut and dried: win or retire.

I'm not really sure why all their fighting has to be so public? Can't they just have the ballot and announce that xxxx is retiring? Sorry if there is an obvious answer, I have no political nous.

What size pension does a politician retire on?

Bill Shorten is about to give a press conference.

Yep, agree on the pension and perks ... and their wages ... especially in comparison to the people on social security payments and minimum wage ...
