Well, looks like it's going to happen in the next 24 hours or so.
I think Rudd will get in. I think it will be all over by tomorrow at the latest.
What do you reckon?

hang on.. she lost it in exactly the same way she got it... I think that is pretty fair.
So an eye for an eye. I was taught two wrongs do not make a right. Anyway I have my opinion and you have yours.

I would LOVE Penny Wong to be the next leader of the ALP ... she is gorgeous to look at, wonderful to listen to, intelligent, savvy, and diplomatic.

"Looks like the troublemaker with the God complex gets the prize for his misbehaviour."
As opposed to the PM with the Poor Me complex?
When did she ever display a poor me complex?
Let me answer for you.
Never!

well thank goodness that's over. I felt much more 'shock' when Rudd got knifed and I'm glad he'll get to compete at the next election. Now, all the LNP have to do is ditch TONY for Malcolm and we might have a REAL contest for the first time in years.

Wayne Swan is talking about his resignation as DPM , but he's intending to stand again as a member ...
... and now I'm going to bed ...
Good night, thanks for your contributions, sleep tight, and may you all remember tonight as an important moment in Australian history.

I feel sad that the first female Prime Minister of Australia's term has ended like this.
me too .It all seems crazy and I have a feeling that it will be seen that way in the future. We have lost her as a PM and an MP

Gillard is at the GG's place, now, giving her resignation.
And I am really going to bed now.

I think its a sad day for Julia but in all honesty the Labor party had no hope, they will win more seats under Rudd but whether they will win another election remains to be seen.
Let's hope now the country can move on and achieve something positive rather than this kindergarten politics.

Australias first Asian Prime Minister? And a female? And a lesbian?
If what Gillard had to contend with these last 3 years is anything to go by, I dont think this country is ready for Wong. Sadly.
