Yay Australia Post Extended Hours

I looked up the AP website to see if our local PO near work had extended hours in the lead-up to Christmas. I had some mail for Europe and was running a bit late with postage. As usual.

The website site said yes, open til 6pm. I geuss no-one told the manager because when I rocked up there, lights were out door was locked.

Rats.

That meant I had to be up the street here at Neutral Bay early to get in line for 9am opening. I was up there just after 8 and lo and behold! It had opened at 8am for extended Christmas hours! I guess nobody else knew, lol.

Yippee!

I waltzed straight in and up to the counter, got served straight away and was free to do the rest of my shopping, to be back home at 9.30.

I have some friends coming round for a pre-christmas party, so time is of the essence.

yes. that's a good thing. they used to do deliveries on the weekend before Christmas too, hope they still do

We had a parcel delivery at 8.05 last night, and another at 6.47pm last week.

Our postman has been coming twice a day, once with letters, 2nd time with parcels. seems the parcel guy hadnt been doing his round properly so they gave him the sack.

Deb, I think next weekend, the postie comes as well.
