Yikes.... Snakes active in July... WT!

Came home, let the two little dogs out the door looked down and this is what I saw;

Our visitor today 17-7-13 Keelback freshwater snake

It's not considered warm in SE Qld ATM. My snake catcher man who I emailed this photo to get confirmation of the type of snake said he couldn't believe how active they are right now. Today alone he'd been on two removal call outs.

So this is a friendly reminder to LOCK CLOSE your pet door people!

It's getting to the stage where those pet door aren't a safe idea in the warmer climates at any time of the year... yikes! Smiley Surprised

Wow that would have been a heart-stopping moment, Dixo Woman Surprised

My daughter living in Mackay occasionally gets snakes in the laundry or in the house, it freaks her out. Their cat alerts her to the presence of snakes, he's a very valued tom.

A keelback freshwater snake? What handy fellow to have around if you've got lots of cane toads!

Thanks for the link, interesting reading.
