Sounds nice, I too have never really grown up which means I haven't lost touch with innocence.
For a child to be able to BE a child for as long as possible I think gives an innocent foundation, in turn the ability to see things clearly and for what they truly are. Natures way so to speak.
I imagine a well centred person in your daughter, yet to sit down and talk through some of the pitfalls out there is good.
One of the lessons I have learnt is even though young ones appear to have all under control, they are missing some of the information as to what lays out there.
I guess what I am saying is, now the next phase is to inform of the deceptions many undertake in wide eyed beautiful people.
But it sounds like she has the whole future to look forward to.

Painting is a great way to pass

Everything you hear on social

What they seem unfortunately
Words of wisdom as always oppie 🙂

Most of this I agree with but the last 4 lines I have no idea what you mean so I`ll pass on agreement

The one thing I was determined to do - having my one & only child at 42 - was never to forget what it was like to be a child.
I think it worked - she is beautiful - feisty but beautiful.
Totally her own person - soon to gain (hopefully) her very floppy hat (Phd).
Aww proud mama

I totally agree with the last 4 lines of oppys post. Nobody really knows who you are dealing with on social media so naive or lonely people can be taken in then turned on in an instant. We all saw what happened to i. z. a.

Be thinking of YOU, again
I MUST have haiku
Again, you light it afire

I dreamed at age ten
Of gallant young men
Of nights on white horses
Love, life, and its courses
At the age of 15
I held onto the dream
Now the horse pulled a carriage
And my dreams turned to marriage
At 21
I married a drunk
Reality kicked in
My dreams were defunct
At 22 a new dream came true
A precious gift
The most beautiful baby
And soon there were two
Here my worst choice in life
Had turned to my best
My blessings were few
But yet I was blessed
I have cherished every moment
As if it were my last
my time was to nurtur
Children grow so fast
Great fear fills your heart
When your children have grown
They will leave, make new lives
Fear of being alone
Fear unfounded
My children were grounded
Had children of their own
And I'm far from alone
Now at 60 I reflected
At the things I've neglected
I have lived, loved,
Laughed and cried
If I had a new chance to begin
I would not change a thing
Well, maybe the drunk

If I could have lived a different life, to this, I don't know that I would have been, more or less, any happier.
It's a bit of a lottery, really.
I didn't see my dreams come to nothing, sometimes they went where I didn't expect them to go.
