Your Say on Gay Marriage

I heard Tony Windsor this morning talking about the idea of a referendum on gay marriage.

i am not for a referendum myself.  in the 21st century it shouldn't take a referendum for a section of the community to have equal rights it should be a given.  as i have said before i don't mind religious organisations saying no to marriage in churches, however my two cousins (as many people do) had civil marriage ceremonies in parks, i believe i should have the same right. i have already been with my partner longer than many marriages last (nearly 18 years). and i do believe in marriage.  my own parents will soon have been married 53 years and they had a wonderful and very happy marriage ( my dad recently was moved into a nursing home).

i want some chocolate now :_|:-D

I agree Vampire teddy. why would anyone want the public to decide the private ? it ought to have nothing to do with them. only yourselves. the public aren't in the relationship.

I am neither for or against, I just don't care,  as a result I did not vote.

I think it is a very personal issue, if you are not gay or lesbian it may be difficult to understand however I have a view close friends who are gay and they are the most wonderful, friendly, loyal, tidy, house proud people I know.

If I ever got into another relationship I have always said it would be with a gay man particularly if it is Ricky Martin LOL
