here we go , AMA wants Australia to create an American style CDC permanent national controlling department in order to

" to better cope and co-ordinate with future health crisis " 

With our 103 deaths , better cope than who ? America 120,000+ deaths , maybe Italy 34,000+ deaths , Brazil ? 

Observation clearly indicates our current system of chaos and panic and the hasty formation of a reasonably representitive committee motivates for effective action , minimises red-tape, and is not powerful enough to distort local media reporting nor resist public critique 

Maybe our system should be studied in the light of results

Was wondering as well - why we need a big permanent bureaucratic pandemic control department with no doubt dictatorial powers when our ad-hoc commitee seems to be the only consistantly effective mitigation structure in the industrialised world
