Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

Godsandmen can I ask what software you use on the computer for your artwork. My daughter is 14 and very artistic, she has just started to do her drawings in basic paint. She has no skills in computer software for digitally enhancing the pics. She draws them freehand and then redraws them in paint. Is there something better she can use.
Her 'thing' or niche for now anyway is like the japanese anime.
I use a combination of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Corel Painter. Painter is a great program for digital artwork. It has tools that mimic everything it a real artist's studio. It's pretty awesome. It's got quite a learning curve though, and I wouldn't recommend it for a 14-year-old. If the "Paint" program you are referring to is the one that comes pre-installed on windows computers, I wouldn't recommend that to anybody. It's pretty worthless. Do a google search for art programs, I'm sure there are many out there that are inexpensive - far better than Paint yet much cheaper than the high-end programs I use.

Illustration for the local newspaper. The story is about a woman who has an interesting way of keeping insects away from her garden plants. She gathers up about a cup full of the bugs in her garden, throws them in a blender along with water, and turns the blender on. Then she takes the bug/water mixture and sprays them on her garden plants. She swears it keeps the bugs away.
