art thread?

Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: art thread?

It cleans up your system and frees up disk space ... a bit like a laxative :^O

Re: art thread?

Gill, use the usb cable to connect your camera to your computer, and then turn your camera on. The computer should detect it, and then you can access the files in Windows Explorer.

Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer.

Then you can copy the files to your computer. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: art thread?

Gillie, do as Katy said and do a disc cleanup and defragment.

Disc cleanup gets rid of all the cookies you accumulate whenever you look at something on the internet. Unneccessary rubish, but that's how the computers work.

Defragment does put all your system files in order, as they get muddled over time whenever you use a different file.

Both those things should be routinely done. I do mine once a month and have oodles of space on my computer.

For the production of a flower. I'll be in it. Just have to decide if I want to paint one or make one?

Here is a painting I did a while ago. Sorry the picture is small and abit fuzzy. Have a bigger one on my old computer, but it has snuffed it and won't let me copy anymore.

Re: art thread?

I was so excited to receive a parcel in the mail today, which should have been my new watercolour paints, but alas, the seller had made a mistake and sent the wrong paints. GARRGGHH!! I simply could not wait any longer, so used by old watercolours(12 colours, made for children), and finished the Liv Tyler portrait. Didn't have the colours that I wanted, but not much I could do about it.

Ladies and germs, I am pleased to present Liv Tyler, my 3rd painting ever. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: art thread?

Great stuff, it has a pop art look to it

p.s. you can mix those cheapie watercolours to get the colour you want.

Try painting a series of different coloured squares, then paint over part of the coloured square with a differnt colour and see what you come up with.
