Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

moonlight, you have an eye for painting. A hidden tallent to come to the fore I like what you have done so far, and like pimpy said, try mixing or blending colour squares. It's great fun to find what you can do that way.
Pimpy, my previous name was Erica Thomas, therefore my sig as ET. I even had an avi with a picture of ET. :^O

Love your flower painting Erica
moonlight, I'm loving watching your creativity come forth. and yes, your paintings so far have a "pop" or "stylized" look to them.
It really is fun watching "new" artists, especially when they're only relying on their own skills. By that I mean.....before having any lessons and not really knowing how to make something look "right".
That's why I called your first painting "pure". I know you will learn more as you go along and I'm glad you started this thread so I can join in, watching you develop your own style without outside influence. So, a huge thankyou ๐

Great work, Erica and Moonlight.
I need some advice ... ok, I have a frame, painted white. I have strings of beads to attach to it. How do I do this?
I want the strings to hang down and be attached to both ends of the frame.
A staple gun would work, but I don't have one.
I could tie the strings on ... and then cover the ends in wall paper to hide them.
I could use beading wire ... like a curtain rack ... again, I'd have to cover the sides with something.
I could maybe hammer in little nails and and attach the beading wire to that ... but the wood is pretty bad quality.
Any ideas?

could you get some small eyelet screws and use those?

Tell me more, Pepe ... how would I get them into the wood? There's no room for drilling.
Thank you ๐

beading wire sounds the best option? although the first thing that came to my mind was eyelet screws? not very "artistic" tho?? perhaps it wouldn't matter? what would you cover the sides with?

Thanks, Gillie. I have a book of wall paper samples ...
I guess, though, that if I used beading wire, I could cover it with ... BEADS :^O and make it part of the project.
