Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

Cat Mioux ... it's mandatory to have a sense of humour when doing craft I suspect, otherwise it would be fury and tears ... :^O

I put a wall hanging that wouldn't go right in the kitchen sink once and turned the hot water tap onto it ... it was horrible!

Oh I have a fury and tears story. I decided to make some extra cash. I bought terracotta plant pots of all shapes and sizes and spent weeks painting them (cottage type roses etc). I'd put the kids to bed in the evening and stayed up till midnight painting these pots. I thought they were very good.
I hired a stall at the local market with a couple of friends. I packed all my pots in bags, transported them in the car. Set up the trestle table. Heaved all the bags onto the trestle table at the one time. The bags promptly slid across the table and crashed onto the concrete ground.
Out of 50 pots. 2 were saved. Yes 2.
That was my pot painting career over before it had began.

Cat Mioux, I just cannot imagine how I would have handled that, in fact, I think I would have abandoned what was left of the pots and and trestle tables! Walked away .. :^O

you being a chicken amy? LOL
type in "painting a seascape (or whatever) acrylics beginners" and have a look at the clips. There may be something that you really like and most give great instuctions. and try not to worry about what it ends up looking like, the only way to improve is to keep doing it.

Talking about 'seascapes', this is a quilt made for a wonderful eBay couple from WA who came to visit us last year ... :-x
It's taller than I am so I had to stand on the stepladder to hold it up .. ๐

There's some awesome work here, I love it all. I used to run an art group
at the local Church/Mission and one of our projects was to paint tiles to put
on the outside of the building. Here are 2 that I painted, about 15cm square, I wish
I had pictures of the whole wall though. Rudi cat andShannon dog in the front of the tile passed last year.
