Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

Thanks, Gillie and Erica ๐
I think we're having a storm here, too. Rain and distant thunder.

We got hail here.
I've taken my car over to the other side of the creek, it's rising and there's every possibility I'll get cut off again, there's been a huge amount of rain.
On the positive side, our dam is full again...

be grateful for small mercies eh Monsters?

Have to look on the bright side, Gill.
Just went out and yes, flooded in again. Supposed to be more of the same tomorrow, so looks like we will lose our driveway again. Thank goodness I took the car over, but stupidly didn't think about taking the trailer over (so I could go and get loads of gravel to fix the driveway).
I'm happy about the dam being full, it was empty for the best part of a year, then in the Aussie Day floods it fulled and has stayed full ever since. We got a family of ducks, and a heron who moved in shortly afterwards and I would hate to lose them.

Monsters, glad to see that you have all your art gear ready for the next project. So I guess it will start next Monday 22 April and end on Monday May 6. This will give flower people time to finish and other people time to get their art gear ready.
I wish it would rain here(Perth). Only had about 3 days of rain in the last 3-4 months. My whole family is praying for thunderstorms. WE WANT RAIN NOW!! :^O
I made a start on an Anzac watercolour. Light horsemen charging Turkish trenches.
Goodnight. ๐

Moonlight, is that out of your head or copied from something? I am blown away by how quickly you've become so good.
We had another storm tonight, thankfully nowhere near as prolonged as yesterday's. Good news is that the driveway survived more or less intact, one side of it was eroded, which I will have to repair, but can still get a car across no problems. Have kept it over the other side again tonight, just in case.
I went outside during the storm, Moonlight and huffed and puffed and hopefully blew a bit of rain over to Perth for you...
Poor me, in the storms everyone stays dry except me and Screech...I run outside in the pouring rain, rush the piggies inside, rescue the little chicks who are too silly to go into their house and stand outside cheeping that they are getting wet, grab three biscuits of hay, race over to the paddock, hurl a biscuit into the camel shelter to entice the camels out of the rain, race over to the calf pen and let the calves in from the paddock who are hollering at me to hurry up they want to get into the stable and have some hay too... then race back inside absolutely drenched! Poor Screech stays up in his tree trying to shelter - may have to attempt building him a little roof contraption so he can stay dry in the rain too.
Okay, May 6th, I WILL have a painting containing at least one flower and one cloud!

monsters, I've been using photos for references for all of my work so far, including the Anzac one. My visualization is not good enough yet for me to draw things from my imagination, but I am spending some time each day practicing visualization. I don't know if you are aware, but you can buy a pad of canvas paper, which might be much cheaper than buying real canvas. I think I saw a pad of 10 pages at office works for $6.
purple, thanks for sharing some of your work. Scrapbooking looks like a lot of fun. ๐
