Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

I think a little bat flying around would have been a nice touch.

Nite Gill. You going to draw that Pepe?
i did that pic in photoshop.

I drew a grid on a printout of the pic that I want to draw, and then drew the same grid on the sketch pad. So now the size of the drawing should be nearly perfect. Will start drawing later. ๐
you really are very brave, or a glutton for punishment.
i wouldn't even attempt that.
good luck, can't wait to see your progress.

Ooooh ! nice one skwerl !!
and pepe, lol, raggedy ann is really good even if she does look like whe's peed.
Your drawing should be in proportion moonlight, with the grid.
Glad you've got a link to read/watch tas. Acrylics are very easy to use and can be used in different wasy.
Add impasto etc and they are like oils..thick and buttery so you can have lots of texture. Straight from the tube...and I have to say that different brands will have different texture and slightly different pigment colour, some, like the little bottles can be quite runny and I think mostly used for folk art type of thing. You can add as much water as you like to get differetn effects too.
If you see the term glazing or washes, it just means a watery consistency. Say you painted a creeki bed with rocks etc. You would paint a very thin wash over them in the colour of the water, that way the rocks will look like they're under the water but you'll still see them because the paint has been watered down. Hope this helps but there are heaps of pointers in utube land !
Love your mums floral painting amy.
