** Please spread the word from Dr Tess Crawley - for those in need AND psychologists who wish to help **

Recently a call was made for mental health professionals to travel to the peninsula to help on the ground with some of the psychological fallout from the fires. We weren't able to help on that occasion, but have been putting our minds to the issue of how we can help in the longer term.

We will be donating ONE FREE PSYCHOLOGY SESSION for bushfire victims, volunteers, and emergency service workers directly involved with the recent bushfires. These sessions will be in the form of a debrief/triage appointment - those assessed as needing ongoing assistance will be given advice on what services are available (including but not limited to our own) and how to access those services. You may access these free sessions as an individual, a couple, or as a family - whatever suits your needs. Those who are in financial distress and are eligible for Medicare assistance (under a mental health care plan with a GP referral) will be bulk billed for subsequent sessions with us.

To access these sessions, contact the practice on 6223 2122 - specify that you are requesting one of the free sessions for those affected by the bushfires. YOU DO NOT NEED A REFERRAL TO ACCESS YOUR FREE SESSION.

The following will be available for one session each per day for free assistance:

* Dr Tess Crawley (clinical & forensic psychologist)
* Lauren Tremayne (clinical psychologist)
* Judy Frith (clinical psychologist)
* Kym Nutting (registered psychologist)
* Dr Meg Scanlan (registered psychologist)
* Anastasia Stossich (registered psychologist)
* Kelly Madden (provisional psychologist)

We also welcome enquiries from other psychologists (clinical, registered, or provisionally registered with clinical training) who might wish to offer time on a voluntary basis to assist with these free sessions.

Thank you to all in the community (local and afar) who are giving so much to help those in need.

Stay safe,
Tess.
