I was doing some research about some other countries economy's.

I found the big mac index.......doesn't say what it is

surely it cant be the cost of a burger in that country.

it's the cost of a burger in any given country, compared to the cost of the burger in another country.

In this country, the cost of living indices used to be based on the price of a particular sized loaf of bread.  I can't remember what size.
