I probably agree with you David. It was a terrible and incompetent stuffup. Sadly, I see one of the people from that ship has died.
Out of curiosity, what do you think is the biggest achievement so far, or are there too many to decide?

raising the unemployment to double
sadly the centrelink debacle has spoiled it somewhat, but it was a big surprise anouncement and a good one.
i hope when this things is over they dont drop it back to where it was but i think it will be reduced prolly close to where it was.

Yeah, it prob was BUT it's happened now, so perhaps instead of complaining about it, folk could put that excess energy into praying/hoping that not to many people will be affected because of it

The advice this morning is that the country is approaching a social and economic shutdown. If this thing does end, whatever Government in power will have a massive economic challenge. I can only imagine how long it will take for the economy to recover.

That was one big stuff up when you consider that there are cruise ships everyone prevented from entering ports
for this very reason.
Now trying to deflect blame and saying they didn't know is just garbage.
That very decision to let them disembark will add a possible month or more to the recovery time frame and
the possible death rate.

Advice from whom exactly.
I really think with all the alarmist rumours going round we need specific links.
I know I've been guilty of not always providing them but I do try to point out that its' hearsay.
