Chuck, we live in the Dandenong Ranges, full of hippies in some parts, especially where my daughter lives..........hippies go to the supermarket in their p/j's or all in ones..........it is just something they do, no one takes much notice of it, they are not dags..........just hippies and most are very good people. They have their dreadlocks both male and female, but not my daughter............it is just a way of life.

yrs ago, when I was married to my first husband we were visiting his rellies in Brisbane and had to drop someone off at a shop in peak hour in Logan Valley QLD, I was talked into going, I wasnt dressed I was only in my negligee (sp) is what one wore back then, horror of horrors the bl**dy car broke down and I had to get out and walk the streets home to the rellies dressed like that also had moccies on.......I was about 25yrs old.

Never went out again without being dressed.

I've heard flip flops called thongs when I was little, but thongs are now the little underware with no backside women wear....yep, when someone said they put on thongs to go shopping might right eyebrow lifted, lol.

Rednecks might be the equivalent to a bogan, but rednecks are southern US. Up north they might be called white trash. I spent time down south and made some great friends who were rednecks.

They know a little something about be trustworthy and having a good time....something I don't see in the so called upper crust.

Reckon if I was there I get along just fine with Bogans.
