NSW Police give woman 34 demerit points in one go after pulling her over in Blue Mountains

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-12-28/nsw-police-give-woman-34-demerit-points-in-one-hit/11830288

how will the road toll ever reduce while there are motorists like this out there?

plus the ove 7 thousand speeding nuts!

and thats just in nsw!!

not only did this woman risk her own life by doing what she did she risked the lives of her passengers and complete strangers on the road with her!

money and demerit points isnt enough, pop her in a cage for a while or make her volunteer in a hospital looking after accident victims

Just yesterday I was talking to a friend who told me of a report by a bus driver, who said he had seen with his own eyes, people putting their knees or feet up to steer while they were busy looking down at their phones and texting.

What scares me is I am sharing the roads with these idiots.

What is it with people these days? A ping on a phone is not a command, it doesn't have to be answered instantly. Surely people could just keep their eyes on the traffic and pull over to park if they really feel they must look at a phone or text?

I don't know what to say to that except good grief. Reading between the lines, it sounds as if they gave the police a hard time for pulling them over, too.
