I've been sharing a 25 year old antenna with five other units and the picture was very dodgy, with SBS unwatchable much of the time and other channels breaking up periodically.

After arranging for the old antenna to be replaced (and re-positioned), the reception is superb. When it works, digital is brilliant and, in my case, it's a vast improvement on the old analogue service. Problem with digital is that it either seems to work very well or poorly, with not much in between.

I'm also a fan of digital radio, having converted a couple of years ago.

we had to get HD set top box, but since having it already built in to the tv we are finding the reception is  better.

That's good to hear that a new antenna has improved it.  We're getting a digital antenna for our 12 flats next week and I hope hope hope it will improve my digital tv as sometimes it jumps all over the place.  They said something might need fixing up inside the

flats too.

What I've been doing when the digital jumps is switch across to analogue, but analogue finishes here mid-December.  Must say digital is a far better pic than anologue though.

We use to have cable, and the picture was perfect, the OH decided to get rid of it, so because we live in the Dandenong Ranges, where there are so many hills, we had to end up getting a TV guy out, who installed a special arial for the area, it is near to perfect and have no problems with it.

Maybe you need to get a TV guy out and see about getting another arial...........depends what the terrain is like where you live, as well.

Yes as I said in my post we are getting a new aerial soon.  So fingers crossed.  I'll also pick their brains while they are doing it , about the problems with mine but hoping the new aerial will fix it.
