Joe I have certainly seen it here in NZ after being away 13 years.

When I was a lad in central west QLD we didn't see rain for nigh on 7 year.

Freezing cold here today, boiling hot yesterday
Very unusual constant fluctuations.
If I were having visitors 20 years ago and was asked what the weather was like and what clothes should my visitors bring then I would have a fair idea.
If we were having visitors next week I would have to tell them to pack for extremely hot weather and extremely cold weather because you just never know.

Gee donna That sounds like Melbourne, when I went there I was told to bring a bikini and a winter coat 🙂

Such ferocious bushfires so early in the season is a worry, and the car park fire in the Olympic Village is a new one too. Bushfires did not used to happen in suburbs so close to the city.

Gawd yeah.
36 degrees yesterday here in Sydney, hot as buggery and hot gusty winds, no wonder the fires as mentione by S- Nova.
Today a cool 20 degrees, everyone back into their cardies.

It's already too hot for my liking and it's only October. I didn't find winter particularly cold at all. I am really dreading summer!

Yes, as others have mentioned in the wider Sydney area.. 35 + deg yesterday, for Oct that is crazy and at the present time 12.8 deg (feels like 10.9) It was cold all day.

about 13 years ago i moved to this house lion, the blocks are quite long and the rear of the properties are low lying. the first few years in the winter it would flood then eventually drain into a creek. the neighbour's lived here for over 35 years & said there was always water there in the winter, shes dried up..no flooding there at all for the last 10 years.
