I am appauled this has happened. Apparently he brought both on his private plane without declaring them and so avoiding quarantine. It looks like he will be allowed to send them home rather than being destroyed but I really think he should cop a massive fine .I cannot believe that he was unaware that we do not allow them
I hope they are healthy
He has really lost my support on this although apparently 2000 pepople have signed a change petition to allow them to stay....IDIOTS

Ignorance of a countries border laws is no excuse, people get caught bring food in and get fined.
Try bringing in a few apples from NZ and every one would be up in arms.
Just because you are good looking and a movie star with two cute dogs should not mean that you can break the law any more then the average traveler.

Had lunch with my friend today. I noticed a faint growling noise coming from her handbag. I said is that your ringtone? She unzipped a corner of her handbag and out popped a cute little chihuahua head. She quickly zipped up again before the staff noticed she'd brought a dog into the restaurant.
I swear that little dog sat on her lap in that handbag all during the meal and not a peep out of it.
Maybe it's them being in a dark bag, but I don't think so. They're smart dogs. When I'm dealing with a homeowner that has 1 or 2 of them...I see them watching me and the owner as if they understand what we're saying. They do!
They just passed a law here in NY that allows pets at sidewalk cafes. It's good move. Dogs in the city are so well behaved, it's amazing. Here on the island...it's hit or miss, lol.

My daughter had a tiny chi ho came with her everywhere, even to work. She sat on the desk in her office barking furiously at all visitors, while her other, giant breed dog, had his own chaise lounge, and hardly flicked an ear if somebody entered the office. LOL
But it is not believable that these 2 dogs could be on the plane without all present knowing, well maybe except the pilot who would have spent most of the time in the cockpit. You could sedate them to get them off the plane, but to keep them sedated for the whole journey would place them in danger, they would become seriously dehydrated during such a long flight. Nowadays, it is not allowed to sedate dogs even for domestic flight.
