Probably better for ones health that way, discard the greasy, high in fat pastry. Mind you good pies aren't cheap so wouldn't save a lot doing that.

free food bags i think they called them, you can get them if you pass an application (pies were contained in those food bags) also you could do a bit of browsing and fill your own bags in thier mini super markets for free.

good pies ARE cheap. you just need to make them yourself.
i tried one from a supermarket once i couldn't eat it. i have never eaten dog food but i imagine it tastes better than a bought pie.

We were talking about people with little or no money, not ones who can afford to buy a kilo of mince, some veges,& some pastry and take it home and bake some pies.

i cant remember the last time i actually bought a pie
sometimes late at the servo they'll just give them to me, only then i would make a brew out of them
i remember in NZ, had to try their pies, and i thought they were the best!

i didn't mind those zinger burgers they had but don't think i would like it as a pie though
i have not had KFC for quite a few years now and am 3 we don't have kfc here handy anyhow.
