why were the labor supporters so quiet when their leader gillard gave sachin tendulkar an indian crickerter who has done nothing at all for australia our highest award the order of australia...  the equivalent of a knighthood.... total silence from the left when she did that

Award by a labor PM to PP and another one to a cricketer who has done zero for aus.

The award to PP was the equivalent at the time.

not really, there are Officer of the Order of Australia (AO – quota of 125 per annum), Knight and Dame of the Order of Australia (AK and AD – General Division only – quota of 4 per annum).  Lots of sports people, ballet dancers and artists get AO.  Not to mention that I doubt JG made a "captain's pick" deciding who gets the honours.

It is not only Labor voters who disagree, it is practically everybody, and most of the LNP side of the government.
