landline phone recommendations..

ok i just checked my messages and didnt realize i had 15 of them on there!

the answering service comes with my internet (voip) provider

im currently using a simple landine phone, it doesnt indicate any messages.. you have to dial in to check

im looking for a corded phone with a built in answering machine thats compatible to voip internet

any suggestions,? so it indicates ive got a message...like an envelope icon or something, anything that lets me know ive recieved one?

Are you not using voip already?

Sorry, I was confused. I thought you must have been already using a voip phone and need to replace it because you don't get your messages.  Now I'm just confused  😄

yes it is a voip internet system

no i got any old phone hooked up which any old phone can be rigged (it doesnt have to be voip compatible) with the net providers answering service

it all works, always have done

i just want a system where it elerts me that i got a message, an indication of some kind

saves the hassle of dialling it thru, for example; if i go out for 15 minutes down the shops.. i have no idea if theres a recorded message.

dig? lol

That's what I thought you meant.

In that case can you set up an sms alert or get a cheap dect voip compatible answer phone?

The Belkin router must have voip ability built in.

Not quite sure what you mean by voip internet system apart from the router having an inbuilt voip device.

Sorry, I wrote post before seeing your reply back there  😄

The message feature probably doesn't work with voip.

maybe my provider erased that feature when BoB appeared!
