I don't care if he laughed or cried, as far as I am concerned the original 4 year sentence was too lenient, let alone releasing him after only 2 years 8 months.

He killed a 4 year old boy. His little life should count for more than that.

I agree the sentence was too lenient, but after reading the link, he didn't actually

harm the boy, he just didn't call for help for him, when he knew the boy was dying.

I think it was the mother that beat the boy.

I also think the laughing was out of place, but perhaps it was uncontrolled relief.
