Am I surprised about this plot? No.

Why? Because the koran commands them to do it.

That book should be banned!

Do you think the bible should be banned too?

The Bible does not contain commands to kill infidels wherever ya see them but the koran does. The koran is a terrorist instruction manual.

UFO, if Islam demands that its followers "kill infidels wherever you find them", how come there are so many practising Muslims working in Australian hospitals actively saving the lives of infidels?

The Victorian Premier has said :

This is not about faith, this is an affront to people of faith.

“It’s not about culture or where you or where your parents are from, it’s not about how you pray or about what languages you might speak in your home. “This is simply evil and we will all stand against it."

I agree with him.  According to several reports the men arrested were mates of another young man who was shot to death last year after stabbing two police officers outside a police station and to my mind this has all the hallmarks of a "kill the pigs" revenge plot by a group of young hoodlums who want to big note themselves and just need an excuse to justify their violence - any "cause would have done ISIS was just the most convenient one.

Associates, I thought the reports said.

I think you'll find that you are mistaken if you read the old testament (well, the relevant parts of it.)

That said, these two apparently "holy" books contain some shockingly unholy exhortation to violence against those who remain "unsubscribed".

There was some experiment with electic shock where people were encouraged and/or commanded to administer apparently lethal electric shocks to a person.

Religion seems to be a bit like that. An apparently supreme "authority" issuing commands to us which we know are brutal and inhumane, and yet we still obey; because the authority from which comes the commands, is of sufficient status.

The New Testament succeeds the Old Testament whereas there is only ONE koran, muslims refuse to release a New Koran because they say the koran is the word of allah and cannot be altered this is why they commit these atrocities.

I see so God Changed his mind about Killing people when he got older hahaha.

How unbelievable is that.

Also does that mean half the bible is right and the other half not ???

So the Adam and Eve story is wrong as well, being in the old testament, or do you just pick out the bits you want to believe

it means that christians have to live

according to jesus christ's teachings -

not the mosaic law.

hebrews 8:13

In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

romans 7:6

But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

New Covenant Theology is a recently expressed Christian theological view of redemptive history which claims that all Old Covenant laws have been cancelled[4] in favor of the Law of Christ or New Covenant law of the New Testament. This can be summarized as the ethical expectation found in the New Testament. New Covenant Theology does not reject all religious law, they only reject Old Covenant law. NCT is in contrast with other views onBiblical law in that most other do not believe the Ten Commandments and Divine laws of the Old Covenant have been cancelled, and may prefer the term "supersessionism" for the rest.

New Covenant theologians see the Law of Christ or New Testament Law as actually including many of the Divine Laws, thus, even though all Old Covenant laws have been cancelled, many have been renewed under the Law of Christ. This is a conclusion similar to older Christian theological systems on this issue, in that some Old Covenant laws are seen as still valid or renewed, but this conclusion is reached in a different way.

On the issue of the law, dispensationalism is most similar to NCT but their core belief is that the age of the Old Covenant is in the past, not that it has simply been cancelled. But NCT rejects the idea that the Bible can be divided into dispensations or ages. Some have criticized NCT for proposing that the Ten Commandments have been cancelled.[5]

Old Covenant

Main article: Old Covenant

The Old or Mosaic covenant is a legal or works covenant that God made with Israel on Mount Sinai. This covenant is brought to an end and is fulfilled at the cross. It was never intended to save people, but instead its purpose was to demonstrate the inability of even God's own chosen people to eradicate sin and guilt until the coming of the Messiah.[citation needed] The fallen world, since the fall of Adam and Eve, can only increase in sin and guilt. Israel, under the Mosaic covenant, was the physical fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant, a foreshadow of the superior New Covenant of grace.

New Covenant

Main article: New Covenant

The New Covenant is the spiritual fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant.[citation needed] Adherents believe that the New Covenant came into effect with ministry of Jesus, such as at the Last Supper when Jesus said in Luke 22:20"This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."

The New Testament, echoing Jeremiah 31:33, also states,

This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Thus, the New Covenant is a gracious covenant. Those included in the covenant are reconciled to God by grace alone, apart from anything they do. Jesus purchased a people by his death on the cross so that all those for whom he died receive full forgiveness of sins and become incurable God-lovers by the Holy Spirit. They have thus become his new creation.
