justifying the actions of isis by blaming the
government doesn't really make sense since
isis also kills muslims overseas.
do you have an understanding of what
motivates them to do that?

You tell me what Tony Abbott says then. I've heard him speak in Parliament, I have listened to him. A lot of what he says I absolutely agree with but he cannot get away with telling untruths about the situation - things like 'they will kill us anyway'.
Tell me what inspired the Bali Bombings?

What motivates the ISIS leaders? Thirst for power and money = oil.
What motivates the fighters? They are disilusioned youth, who want to be part of something big. Haven't you seen any of the recruiting videos? It all sounds like a lot of fun, and great adventure playing with guns.
And of-course our governments have created the atmosphere where Muslim youth feels that Muslims are being targeted. We were part of invasion of Iraq. Before that we looked on as Muslims were being exterminated in former Yugoslavia. Nobody blames it all on Abbott, but he continues in the same vein. Although, as things are I am not sure that standing back and letting ISIS get on with their campaigns is acceptable. Saddam Hussein was nasty dictator, but that did not stop us from being friends with him (and heaps of other nasty dictator when it suited us), but he held that country together. We applauded as one after another middle eastern countries disintegrated, and we applauded when ISIS started to fight against bashar al-assad.
So how on earth can you say that our governments, present and past, are not at least partially responsible for this mess.
And to azuraline:
Just because somebody terrorises people does not mean they are terrorists.

far more ideological than that.
and all of what you posted - especially
regarding bosnia - far more complicated.

Of-course, it is much more complicated. Nobody can possibly capture all the aspects in this format. And I have also deliberately left out Palestine, which plays big role. But there is no shortage of historical events if somebody wants to make propaganda of how the west is against Muslims, and how they invade Muslim countries, bomb weddings, murder and rape children.

You have a very simplistic view of life. Not simple .... simplistic.
Fix Palestine? As though it is that easy. We westerners can't begin to understand the complexities and history that belongs to these people. Easy too to sit in an armchair and blame Abbott and our govt, which is just laughable.

The trouble with terrorists attacks is you cannot avoid them because they are random, without warning, no rhyme or reason to them so in that way they are the most deadly risk of all and cannot be avoided.
Daily life risks are what we know and can avoid so your whole argument is nonsense and as your posts go on your antipathy to a Liberal govt, and Israel anti Semitic stance emerges.
