Any dipstick who claims White Castle is the bestest burger has lost all credibility with me, although the war department consistently buys those scabrous creations and nukes them, two at a time.

used to work in an export beef abbatoir. Exported 1000's of tonnes of B-F/H to the USA to make Hamburgers. Stands for Bull fore and hind. Bull meat is a dark red colour and has a distinct "flavour"...any red blooded aussie would not eat it. The flavour and texture of the bull meat is more like the kind of meat the muslims crave....that of the Bos indicus genus......

The food is different in every country isn't it? it's what we get used to.

I recently travelled to Hawaii, my room mate hated the food........ and said so at every opportunity.

I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either.

Same when I was in the UK  and Italy, different not awful.

Why is the UK reporting on what a US chef thinks about Australian burgers?

That guy is not a celebrity. I've never heard of him and if he said those things...I don't want to know him. For one thing...There was a burger joint here once upon a time that served eggs on a burger, they were good too.

As far as beetroot...what the 'ell is it, lol.

White castles was good for after a late night of brews, then some white castles. They're horrible, but great if you've been drinking, lol. It requires an extra dose of deodorizer in the bathroom the next day. Having the munchies too helps.

That pretty much explains it then,(he has no taste for a decent burger).

Typical "celebrity chef",(they seem to think that if they think it's not up to scratrch others must think the same).

It could also be that he want to introduce his type "burgers" on to his menu,(then charge 10 times what it would

cost elsewhere and you would need to eat at least to appease your hunger).

That's why we've never gone back to a "proper/high priced" restaurant,(we had a meal that cost us $75 back

in 1995 and had to buy some chips on the way home to appease the hunger).

It was smaller than a kids meal,(we used to eat a normal/decent sized meal at another "joint" for under $20),

That's how I like mine. I'm too picky with the lettuce and tomato. The lettuce from a fast food place is usually wilted, and the tomatoes don't look red enough for me.

That guy's an idiot. Depending on what state you are in, your burger might come with mustard instead of ketchup, and in this state they put pickles and onions on it. I order them without either.
