He says that it should be just the beef and cheese and it has to be American cheese.
What is American cheese? Does he mean Kraft?
To be honest you really need the fake plastic cheese to make a good burger. Real cheese just doesn't cut it. Try the smoky fake plastic cheese. I leave out the egg but nothing wrong with a slice of beetroot. Beet makes it better but never beetroot and tomato together.

That's how I like mine. I'm too picky with the lettuce and tomato. The lettuce from a fast food place is usually wilted, and the tomatoes don't look red enough for me.
That guy's an idiot. Depending on what state you are in, your burger might come with mustard instead of ketchup, and in this state they put pickles and onions on it. I order them without either.
I prefer them without onions but do tend to forget abvout them,(don't like pickles at all as they seem to over
power the burger and have a carp taste).
He seems to basically like cheeseburgers,(so why is he even "rating" a proper burger).
I don't know, lol. *mine are the best! : ) *
Home made is always better,
I do prefer my home made bacon and egg muffins,(they are better then the fast food joints).
Steak sandwiches aren't bad either,
Each to their own and if he wants to make a fool of himself,no one is going to stop him,(maybe he wants to be in
adds for White Castle burgers, which are microwavable),
That might explain why he doesn't want stuff on his burger that "can't" be microwaved?
He doesn't like them so he's basically trying to say our burgers are "carp",(when other have the same opinion
about his favourite burgers).

A burger without beetroot???
Beetroot MAKES the burger!

Lets face it home made burgers are the best, home made Patties, then put all the makings out and let everyone put on their Burger what they want.
I like, beef patty, cheese, lettuce, Tomato and a pickle, mustard and sauce.
I dont do the Beetroot.
The Buns must be Toasted both sides and buttered.

I wouldn't be in the least surprised if his minimalist "trendy chef" burger costs five times what the one I can get at the (decidedly downmarket) local fish and chip shop costs.

Kraft is garbage, as the other happy go lucky was eager to point out. I can't eat it. I go to the Deli counter to get my meats and cheese. I just checked my fridge....The American cheese is from Land o Lakes, my swiss is Finlandia. Ham w Swiss, Turkey w provolone, burgers with American cheese or cheddar on top when it's almost done, then cover for the last minute.
What do you call American cheese?
Did anyone notice that the holes in Swiss cheese disappeared years ago? (Aside from just a few small holes, sometimes) It was only recently discovered the holes disappeared because the mix was too clean, they needed to add hay dust.

Hmmm, 6:30 pm and I'm hungry! : )

Funny you said that...last weekend I made a rare stop at a fast food place, it was White Castle...they make a good breakfast sandwich. Real eggs, not some yellow batter and pretty good hashbrowns. I still have 2 in the freezer.

That sounds like "hard" work,(I have had a scotch fillet in a homemade steak sandwich that wasn't "bad"),
We had a meat voucher that had to be used and the butcher cut it thinner for us,(didn't cook it for long but
it's probably something I wouldn't do again),

We like 'em and that's the main thing!
I don't like it when they put pineapple on 'em that's all!
