What is this new thing where members think it's fine and dandy to tell other members they are "off topic"?
This entire BOARD is off topic.
The rules haven't changed since 2009. They state:
"Grounds for immediate post/thread removal, board sanction and/or eBay suspension
The following types of postings are cause for immediate post removal, warning, board sanction and/or suspension from the site. Other inappropriate postings not listed below may also warrant removal and/or suspension from the site. eBay reserves the right to remove any post without warning or further notice.
Posts that do not relate to the discussion board's topic(s)."
See up there where it says "topic(s)".
Posts that do not relate to TOPICS of the discussion BOARD are not allowed.
It doesn't state that THREADS are not allowed to be off topic.
It states that posts that do not relate to the discussion board's TOPICS are not allowed.
As this board has no specific topic being off topic is actually posting within the board rules.

What do you all do, in real life, when a group discussion goes "off-topic"? Do you jump up and down and demand that people must talk only about what you are interested in? Or do you just go with the flow and either disengage if your not interested or move on with the new topic?
Perhaps another question might be, why are people on here so fixated with "the rules"

I am sure the mods will get a wonderful insight into the personalities on these boards after reading what was posted last night, I hope they take the actions needed after they finish shaking their heads in didbelief at what they read.
It certanly confirmed what I have thought for a long time
I hope all the lurkers have read it and dont end up with a sore neck

In real life if one person acted as a few do here they would be sent a clear message their conduct was not acceptable and if they continued to be disruptive they would be told to go some where else and cause trouble.

Buzz...Not being able to spell well makes me neither stupid nor dumb!
A school principle once told my parents that it a high percentage of ambidextrous people have a great deal of trouble with spelling. Apparently it's the way the brain transfers the message from one part to another. I spell phonetically, which is often wrong. BUT is neither,as I said stupid nor dumb!
hey mugssy, I'm ambidextrous too
but I do write with my left hand

I would give my right arm-to be ambidextrous.
