This is what he said yesterday to a group of Liberal supporters (well who else). What a prime time goose.
And what a bunch of geese we will look when he represents us internationally.
“No one,” Tony Abbott told a Melbourne gathering of Liberal Party faithful, “however smart, however well-educated, however experienced … is the suppository of all wisdom”.

'all of us' aren't potential canditates to become Prime Minister of Australia either.
A poster on CS having their post reprinted in the Chuckle Store on another board here vs Leader of Opposition, possibly PM next month, whose comments are being reprinted worldwide for all to see/scoff at? No contest.

Does it need to be a contest Am3 ?

Contest or not, context needs to be thought about before you make a speech.... and if you don't have a vocabulary that encompasses those type of words.... don't try to use them.

Just comparing comments made on this thread. Any political leaders or PM of Australia - their speeches are more important to the nation (from an Aust and a worldwide perspective) than posts on forums.
Can't downplay the mistake TA made by saying 'we all do it' imo. That particular gaffe will never be forgotten.

that's what other people have done too when they have made their own posts
and yes I agree that it will be remembered ...however regardless of who said it I would find it funny ...no matter what my political views are .

No more than Mr Rudd when he said 'as Prime Minister' when he wasn't, he was the Foreign minister at the time?

No, it doesn't matter who made a gaffe and talked about suppository in an election campaign would have copped it.
You do know what a suppository is?

I am not sure suppository and prime minister are equal gaffes?
