This is what he said yesterday to a group of Liberal supporters (well who else). What a prime time goose.
And what a bunch of geese we will look when he represents us internationally.
“No one,” Tony Abbott told a Melbourne gathering of Liberal Party faithful, “however smart, however well-educated, however experienced … is the suppository of all wisdom”.

lol...azure, depends on the time and place? I think a slip of the tongue is more acceptable than memory loss (wishful thinking) lol
No, bum or toilet humour wins every time.
Regardless of what some of us think there will always be a huge laugh fest over suppository gaffes compared to everyday gaffes.
Rudd would have copped it just as bad, or worse, if he made that particular gaffe.
A bit dangerous to have bum humour, slip of the tongue, and some politicians mentioned in the one thread.

Tony may forget it .

I don't think K Rudds' Prime/Foreign minister comment would have made much impact on world news at the time?
Tony Abbotts comment this week has gone viral on the web, reported in the media extensively. Those two gaffes are not in the same league at all imo.

And while he was FM, his every second thought was how to get his PM job back. Surprising if he did not make that slip many times.

My god some of you need to take a chill pill and get a little context . It was 1 minor slip of the tongue in 1 minor speech , how many of you have ever made a public speech? Very few I imagine . I have made quite a few public speeches , been on tv & radio , I can tell you it's not hard no matter how good a public speaker you are to make a slip up , the way you lot are carrying on you would think he had slapped a a baby or declared war on our allies
Rubbish.
The whole thing is a joke fest. The trouble is we can't put the jokes on here or we'll get kicked off.
It was just unfortunate for him that his tongue slipped a suppository in.

Tony won't be allowed to forget it.
The guy is the Leader of the Oppostion, potential Prime Minister not some local person giving a speech to a small audience.
His comment has spread around the world like wildfire... people all around the world are laughing at his slip up.
