This is what he said yesterday to a group of Liberal supporters (well who else). What a prime time goose.
And what a bunch of geese we will look when he represents us internationally.
“No one,” Tony Abbott told a Melbourne gathering of Liberal Party faithful, “however smart, however well-educated, however experienced … is the suppository of all wisdom”.

The guy is the Leader of the Oppostion, potential Prime Minister not some local person giving a speech to a small audience.
His comment has spread around the world like wildfire... people all around the world are laughing at his slip up.
You will make sure it's never forgotten then? People all over the world , really? Laughing with him, not at him 🙂

The word he used by mistake has given the media ample opportunity (which they have gleefully taken up) for cartoons, pic's with words etc ( which as freaki said wouldn't be appropriate to post here). Making the person a laughing stock.

I should repeat myself here, that I am a fan of neither leader.
But on the news this morning it showed Mr Rudd shaking hands with members of the public as they held out their hands. A young man in a red top standing at the front eagerly waiting was ignored/ over looked. He appeared to be very disappointed

So far I've seen links to stories in papers in the UK and USA so maybe not the whole world, yet.

Yes, some don't get that do they? Comparing a public figure (could be the next PM of Aust soon) as opposed to what a person says in their own home or posting on a little forum etc.

The readers of the world newspapers (ones originating outside Australia) are laughing at TA not with him.
I am not a fan of either leader either.. but when one of them puts their foot in it magnificiently (as mentioned in the opening post) it is going to come to the attention of lots of people.
