How would you react to this scenario?
Driving along a road you see a young boy in school uniform on his way to school waving a gun and knife at passing traffic.
Would you ignore him or take steps to ensure the gun and knife are 'toys' and not the real deal?

Aren't you worn out yet siggie?
I went out ... didn't see any TOYS GUNS for sale in the toy stores/ toy depts (apart from the water ones). Didn't see any little kids toting toy guns.

The decisions made by the OP don't make sense.
The OP was not asking me a question that I didn't understand. I am sure she wouldn't mind explaining if I didn't understand her.

No, but I would add .. generations in the PAST. Times and attiudes change. As I said earlier, toy guns were very common when I was a child (except at my house!). They were not that common when my kids were little 22-25 years ago.
Buying a kid a toy that they can hold up to another kids face and pretend to shoot them dead, is not something most parents encourabe.
The police in Australia don't like imitiation guns because they have been used in armed hold ups and the person held up suffers just as bad afterwards as if it was a real gun, as they can't tell at the time that it wasn't real.
Toy guns are toy guns..... and yes they are everywhere. Played with by generations of people.
They are not everywhere. Everywhere means just about every time I see a child, they would have a toy gun in their hands. Everywhere means at home, at the beach, at the park, at school, at the shops..
Just because past generations had them doesn't mean the same number are produced and sold now. There are none in most toy stores/toy depts, certainly not like there were when I was a child.. cap guns, all types of guns.
My kids had teeny tiny Polly Pocket dolls, they are no longer deemed safe for kids and they make bigger sized ones now.

See I told you noone laughed at twinkles. I doubt a Principal or senior teacher would laugh at any member of the public who had come in to inform them aboutthe behaviour of one of their students, they would know better to do that... what they say behind closed doors noone knows.

Well they aren't in the lolly section.
They are at Big W, Target, Kmart (non water ones) $2 shops and probably a number of other places.

There were no guns (apart from the water ones) in the toy stores/department stores at the mall today (incl Target and Kmart and others)
Obviously I wouldn't think they are in the lolly aisle, I don't know why you had to add that apart from trying to be snarky.
Something no-one else has resorted to in this thread so far.
I didn't go to the discount/variety stores.

Strange argument AM3.
They are everywhere.
Kids will continue to buy and play with their toy guns regardless of whether you believe it to be true or not.
I am sure I have had to point that out multiple times now......

Are you sure they sell the type of toy guns we're talking about here? I have not seen them in the places you mentioned (except the $2 shops, havent been there recently) They don't even sell them at toy shops like toys r us.
