How would you react to this scenario?
Driving along a road you see a young boy in school uniform on his way to school waving a gun and knife at passing traffic.
Would you ignore him or take steps to ensure the gun and knife are 'toys' and not the real deal?

Although it is unlikely in this country to have kids with real guns, it is still a possibility little Jimmy has nicked Dads gun and is taking it to school to show his mates. As they say, better to be safe than sorry.
Yes, you do. Considering i've had weapons training, the toy would have to look really convincing for me to be concerned and as you say, if unsure, better to be safe than sorry. Its difficult to make a judgment without actually seeing the toy gun, but if it was enough for Twinkles to be concerned, then she did the right thing.

Guns were recently found buried in a garden in a sydney day care centre. How easy for a child to find and take home in his backpack.
A 13 year old took his fathers pistol to school in Adelaide. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-02-01/suspended-sentence-for-school-shooter27s-dad/4495690
It does happen Siggeth.

Stop being so hysterical......you got it wrong...move forward, and let it go.
So she is not allowed to ask for others' opinons about what they would do in same situation. OK.

robot, i doubt a kid with a 'real' gun pinched from his parents would be using it to tease motorists with though
you'd think the kid would keep that hidden

Would you call the school, or the police?

As you nor I or anyone else at this time know the outcome and if in deed either weapons were real, your comment re me getting it wrong is ridiculous.
