sick, need suggestions

so sick, been like this for days, chocking on my own fluids i guess, can't sleep, worse when i lay down. help

coughing head ache , end of my rope, need suggestions, try anythiung. want to end this cant take more ple

Do you mean that they offered you steroids and you refused them?

Steroids are not only used to put on muscle you know.

If you keep on refusing the medications offered to you it is no wonder the hospital is getting fed up with you.

There is also a good chance that the mouthwash you have been swallowing is showing up as alcohol or some sort of drugs.

joanie, they're not anabolic steroids and a short burst won't put on muscle.  I have to have a short burst every now and again for asthma and I guess that might be your problem at the moment.  They are a wonder drug when you need them.

I suggest you go back and ask for them again.  They will improve your breathing before you know it.  They will probably only give you enough for a week or so.

As the other posters have said, go back and get the medication they offered you. Steroids are not all bad.

I am NOT a pill popper at the slightest illness, even head ache tablets when I have a head ache but when a Doctor says take this, I take it.

Joanie, the hospital probably wanted to give you prednisone. Bit of a pity if they called it steroid, that seems to have given you the wrong idea. You do need to go back and get the medication. What usually happens is that you start off on a higher dose, gradually reducing over about 10 days or so. It won't build muscle, it is not that sort of steroid.

have the perscriptions just dont know. wish i could slip into a bath somewhere..... with all the snow and rain, theres a creeks up the road would look good if it were warmer. just grab some soap, shampoo condisioner and walk into creek. proby too cold

i nee fill these scritons void after 72 hours. i real hopin they would do something to fix me that didn't volve pump full drugs i just need get fluid out thoat lung

The drugs will fix the fluid in the lungs and the throat.

And a few pills is not "pumping you full of drugs", they will be specifically targeted.

They want you to take steroids for your illness not to build muscle.

aw Joanie, you poor thing.

The 'steroids' will help ease the inflammation in your airways. The more you cough the more the irritated the airways become, the more irritated they are the more they become inflamed, which means they produce more mucuos.  It's a vicious cycle. You NEED to TAKE the steroids to stop the cycle.  They are just anti-inflammatory drugs they are not going to turn you in to Arnie Shwarznegger.

I'm surprised they didn't offer antibiotics as well.
