sick, need suggestions

so sick, been like this for days, chocking on my own fluids i guess, can't sleep, worse when i lay down. help

coughing head ache , end of my rope, need suggestions, try anythiung. want to end this cant take more ple

are you unable to keep any food down?

any type of food is better than nothing in this

situation even a small amount. a bit of bread,

or a  slice of cheese or even crisp chips. 

anything just so you dont take the meds on 

an empty stomach.

plain cracker biscuits and sparkling mineral

water is good if you feel nauseous.

Usually when you go to see a Doctor, they ask you what medication you are currently taking, that way they can prescribe you something that won’t have an adverse affect on your current medication. Did the Doctor ask you or did you tell him you were currently taking HRT?

The steroid you were prescribed is probably Prednisone, the most common steroid used to treat respiratory conditions. It is usually only taken short term. If you don’t treat the Bronchitis, it can lead to Pneumonia. Chronic, continual and untreated Bronchitis can lead to COPD and there’s no cure for COPD. All that said, the HRT will have an affect on the steroid, not the other way around. The HRT can increase the therapeutic AND the toxic affect of the Prednisone.

My suggestion to you, would be to find a doctor you feel comfortable with and sit down and explain what medication you currently take and how you are currently feeling. Start afresh and try not to let your past medical experiences influence your current experiences.

Something I think you really need to think about is whether you really want your whole situation to change for the better or whether you are just happy complaining about it. I don’t mean to sound harsh but when I read your posts, your remind me so much of my younger sister. I can give her all the advice in the world, but does she act on any of it, does she try any of the suggestions, no, she just keeps on complaining. I’ve read so many posts of other members including myself, giving you some really good advice but you always seem to have an excuse as to why it won’t work for you. You never know if something is going to work unless you give it a try.

Joanie, you seem to have no idea about HRT.   Millions of women all over the world have been using it for years, including me but we still use other medications with no ill effects. I use several prescription medications on a regular basis and others when necessary.....antibiotics, steroid type medications and any other medication deemed necessary for whatever ails me.

None of them have ever had any effect on each other.   My doctor just would not prescribe anything that would interfer with the other medications I am taking and my chemist would not dispense them if he had made a mistake. HRT is not a life and death medication....it just makes you feel a lot more human.  Refusing to take medication for bronchitis could be a life and death situation, especially while you are living in that cold damp caravan.

i can almost garentee that most women including you don't use it for the same reasons as i. anyway, i've decided to stop using it while taking this.. so far, nothing... still choking, probibly has to work into my system.

It really does not matter what HRT is used for.....it is the same medication and is very unlikely to cause a problem with the meds you have for the bronchitis.

Just take both your meds or you will be complaining that your other condition is acting up again.

Joanie you are parked out side your fathers house, way cant you have a shower there.

You need to take your Prednisone with food as it is hard on the tummy.

I take Prednisone about three times a year for allergies, only thing it does to me is make me hypa, least i get all the house work done 🙂

There are other posters here who receive the utmost sympathy when they describe details of all their illnesses, so I don't understand why we should see Joanie as any different. 

If we are going to tell Joanie to try to help herself a little more, we should do the same with others.

Joanie,  did you tell the doctors that you take HRT and why you take it? It must be a huge worry not knowing  what may happen if the medications don't go well together. Is there some sort of medical advice helpline that you could call or contact via the internet? Hopefully, the steroids will kick in soon and you start to feel better. Everything sucks when you're sick.

ahhhhhh

im taking the advise and the pills i don't know what else to do. i tried to eat chilli beans, had to throw away, tried mixed nuts, no go, the only other trhing i have is mac n cheese, i don't have the energy to make it... i have tomato juice, guessing that really would not set well on a quizzy stomach.

getting cold again, really need to sleep love me some sleep, love me some shower, love me some sona... still not lovin police

Hey Joanie I was thinking (yes it hurt, shaddup) the smoking question is something the doctors ask even if you go in for a broken toe. It's probably a little box they have to tick off on their report. But maybe your voice is a little sort of deeper or huskier than most woman and they probably assume it's from smoking. Having a cough would have made it sounde a lot huskier I imagine.
