This is my slow cooker Butter Chicken recipe. It's foolproof and has been test kitchen verified by (I think) youcandoit

Ive given up sewing the cardomon pods. These days I just tie them up in a little muslin parcel. I usually make double (or more) quantity and freeze.

I dont have a slow cooker latina, I just use a large casserole (with lid) and cook low and slow.
I find that browning the meat adds to the flavour, usually with garlic and onions and any spices Im using.
I prefer to buy shoulder and cut any sinew (eww) off myself- I have a good butcher nearby who debones shoulders, so I dont have to do too much! I tend to start from scratch rather than use mixes- I guess I like to experiment a bit with flavours, and its easy enough to add fresh herbs and spices..
This website is pretty helpful- but watchout!- you might be salivating, reading the recipes
