Re: terrorism crackdown security address

if the number has doubled in 12 months

and nothing is done to put a stop to these radicals

then the numbers can not possibly go down over time

obviously  no one can predict how many there will be but rest assured if this activity is not stopped in it's

infancy there will be a point in the future where there will be absolutely no control over it

Re: terrorism crackdown security address

There is one problem you haven't thought of Vic. Once you start upping the ante on anti terror laws, where do you stop? Every time there is an 'incident' the will be pressure to make the laws even more draconian. What will you do if or when the government decides to take your gun off you "just  in case it should ever  fall into the hands of terrorists."?

How can you talk about berries and terrorists in the same sentence

it"s just idiotic and ludicrous

start a new thread Tony Abbott is poisoning us with Chinese Imports

{you have a choice don"t eat this toxic **bleep** there's been enough evidence of it by now}

because I think this one is about Tony Abbott trying to save our demise to terrorists

right now there are around 400 persons of interest in Australia

last year there was 200

in 5 years time there will be 4000

in ten years time there will be 400,000

for god sake wake up to what"s going on around the world the time for apathy empathy and sympathy is over

By choosing to foster fear and division, by failing to embrace truly meaningful security recommendations such as a gun crackdown, Abbott has inadvertently exposed his weakness, not his strength.

And by posting / quoting the above from the article, it shows that I am 3 has NO idea whatsoever about the subject.

A gun crack down would not have helped AT ALL in regards to Monis, or any of the other terrorists, criminals running around with guns.

The gun used by Monis was banned in 1996.

Criminals do not get firearms licences, they do not buy legal firearms, they take NO notice of any gun laws

and they couldn't give a F what anyone else does in regards to bringing in new gun laws or crackdowns.

Re: terrorism crackdown security address

Then they probably don't care about Abbott's terrorism crackdown either!!  That is - it won't be at all effective.

Oh yes they will, because when they start preaching hatred in Lakemba, or marching up and down Sydney streets

with placards, the Gov't will jump on them from a great height.

And if they have dual citizenship, then watch out.

No more kid gloves, no more benefit of the doubt, the onus of proof has been reversed which is how it should be.

Re: terrorism crackdown security address

I'm pretty happy with suspension of welfare benefits and/or cancellation of the Australian citizenship for those with dual citizenship known to be involved in terrorist activities agains Australia.

And yes, I think more should be done by the government to prevent the import of polluted food.

Icy

Agree.

Hit them hard and hit them where it hurts, financially and make them jump through hoops.

Do a full tax audit on them as well for the last 20 years, every penny accounted for.

That will hurt as well.

And while they are at it, might as well include a tax audit of all the Mosques.

I reckon he should have put deportation in there as well.
