1)How will suspending their welfare benefits prevent people from becoming radicalised?
Cancelling their Australian Citizenship might well work for migrants, but I don't see how you can cancel the citizenship of someone who was born in Australia.

Well at least we won't be funding their radicalisation !

They can't cancel citizenship of those born in Australia. But they can strip the Aus citizenship from dual citizenship holders.
Suspending welfare benefits won't prevent radicalisation, but at least we won't be funding it.

What about a one way ticket and no parachute ? The Argentinians pefected the technique it in the 70's !
OK, how about this for pathetic from the left. Abbott gives an important speech.
And what do the left carp on about ?
The flags behind him !!! LOL
" WHY did Tony Abbott need six flags behind him when he made a speech about national security today? Because AUSTRALIA! That’s why.
The PM was making an announcement about strengthening Australia’s anti-terror laws. He touched on the increased terror threat following the Lindt Cafe siege, asked Muslim leaders to talk more about Islam being “a religion of peace” and flagged — sorry — a major review of visa and citizenship guidelines.
But talk of the flags took over on social media. Network 10 journalist Paul Bongiorno said he was disappointed there were “only six flags”. Others quickly joined in."

honestly what is wrong with these people

Nothing is wrong with them. They were waiting for Abbott to arrive and chatted about the flags while waiting.

So now you are trying to come up with a good story to get them off the hook ?

It's a comfort to know so many people have their priorities right
I"M not sure which is a bigger threat to this country the terrorists or the sympathisers

No, it was implied that they talked flags instead of content.
All I pointed out was that they commented on flags as an aside while waiting for the speech. That would have occured regardless of who was PM. As most people would when they turn up at such an event and they're looking at a podium and the back drop while waiting for the PM to arrive to give his speech.
