This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Agreed, Ping and Pong would be much better suited as names go, but you can almost bet that some uptight individual would eventually cry "racist', just to have their five minutes of fame, and ruin the fun for the rest of us...

The old man cockatoo climbed onto my foot, and I tried to shake him free...
Oh, no... He's not about to get off - thus is Fun!
"I'm getting a horsey ride!"... ha ha...
He's so happy here, having a second childhood, ha ha....

"In a perfect World" scenario 1.
The old man bird says, as well mannered old man birds do, "Is that slice of bread for me? How kind of you to think of me, may I have it?"...
The old man bird then takes the slice of bread when it is offered to him...
"In a perfect World" scenario 2 - The old man bird's "bird's eye view"...
The old man bird sees that I have a slice of bread...
He leaps the three or so feet from the perch that he's standing on, to my wrist...
Perching on my wrist, he then carefully takes hold of the slice of bread, turns his back to me and leaps the three feet or so back to the perch.
"I have my slice of bread, I'm happy, it's a perfect World"... ha ha...
Me - "Um... That slice of bread was supposed to be broken up so that everyone got a bit..."...
The old man bird - "Everyone? But I AM Everyone!?"... ha ha...
The first time he threw himself at me, he took me by surprise, and I didn't have time to flinch...
Since then, I've come to expect it...
I step out the door, and look down to see if he's at my feet, while holding my hand still, out in front of me, just in case... ha ha...
I don't need to train a pet to learn new tricks, he's not a pet, and he's the one training me... ha ha...

In a word, Kookaburras.
A pair of them noisily chortling away not too far from here...
As if life couldn't get any more amusing, now it seems I might have a new of visitors to the garden, ha ha...

And while I'm out looking for kookaburras, why don't I get side tracked by the happiest old man cockatoo in the world? ha ha...
"Is that a camera? Hold on, I'll strike a cute pose...", ha ha...

I should say, he's not in a cage - even though you can see that there's brown plastic mesh behind him...
That's on one side of the bridge he''s sitting on, only, and is there to stop the baby possums falling off the bridge... ha ha...
Sometimes they get a little enthusiastic when trying to climb around mum at breakfast, and there have been near-accidents in the past.
Anyway, he's a cockatoo, should he decide, plastic mesh won't last that long... ha ha...

A rare glimpse into the the majesty of Nature...
When in season, female B-52's fly low over forested areas attracting swarms of male suitors who pursue her relentlessly until mating takes place...
There's what you see, What you think you see, And the endless possibility that what you see isn't what you see, at all... ha ha...

It'll officially be Spring in a couple of days...
The plum tree out the front has a head start, in bloom for all it's worth... ha ha...
I can hardly wait for the apple tree out the back to start producing blossoms - bees and cockatoos, that'll make an interesting mix!
I had the back door open for a while in the afternoon, it reached the heady heights of 18.4 degrees, near heatwave conditions, considering the time of year, ha ha...
The old man bird sat and stared at the screen door - "It's not fair, I've only just begun to figure out how to get the other door open, and now you've got a new one!", ha ha...
