This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

Do they roost under your eaves or do you have a dedicated um... bat-ery, bat cave, belfry? is that the term? ha ha...

Yes, they're very small brown bats, their bodies are about the size of man's thumb. I have 4 bathouses around the property, and they do roost in the barn belfry too, lol! I'd say there's over 200 all told, i think some roost in the small caves in my creekbank too.
Watching them swooping on a summer evening is one of my joys in life. It's like ....like a bat ballet.

Ecar, he's baaaaack
Asian Koel. (It's a Cuckoo apparently)
How does he find the same neighbourhood every year?
And he never gets a female calling back (that I've heard anyway)
Melbourne is a long way south for this bloke.
Most Koels migrate from Australia to New Guinea and probably eastern Indonesia and even further north, but some remain in northern Australia. During breeding season, they are found in northern and eastern Australia, south to about Nowra, New South Wales, although occasional birds are encountered further south.

She's a great drummer, thanks Baybizz 🙂
I often wondered what the back story to the Sultans of swing was, so I looked it up...
In short, Singer/guitarist Mark Knopfler had written it in 1977, after ducking into a deserted pub one rainy night and witnessing a lousy jazz band. Undeterred by the lack of both talent and punters, their lead singer finished the set with a mildly enthusiastic, “Goodnight and thank you. We are the Sultans Of Swing.”
It's amazing where people find inspiration...

Thanks for the link. Interesting. Sultans of Swing is one of my favouriite pieces of music, although that wasn't why I posted the drummer lady - she just happened to be drumming along to it.
