This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

The old man bird with the busted leg, which is healing, but he's still at about 40-50% with it, turned up, so I rustled up a plate of seed for him.
I popped that down and went off to do the mountain of other things that always seem to need doing at that time of day, ha ha.
When I got back round to him, the plate was empty.
He gave me the sad puppydog look - "Is that all there is...?", so I got some more seed for him.
I put the plate down again, and he shuffled over to it and said "Okay".
There's a surprise, of sorts. He's not much of a talker, he's more the stoic, silent type, ha ha.
I shouldn't be too surprised, though... If I say "Okay" fifty times a day then I'm having a quiet day, ha ha.
.
Nothing much to say on the little possum front - I think it was deemed to be a bit too cold, still, this evening for a run around outside.
And, if my ears don't deceive me, all those scratching and scrabbling noises coming from the entrance corridor of the house were made by someone enjoying the warm day, without the bother of actually leaving the house, ha ha.
Eating with the cockatoos...
Perhaps I should say Literally sharing a meal...
"What have you got? What have you got? What's that? I want some...".
Ever tried to eat a sandwich while a cockatoo is doing everything in it's power to sample it?
It's a special kind of chaos... ha ha.
"I'm going to stand beside you and the more tantalisingly close the sandwich comes to me, the more eagerly I'm going to reach out for it...".
There is one very important thing which I should mention, too - Under no circumstances put the sandwich down...
Cockatoos are particularly skilled in stage magic - they can make things disappear right in front of your eyes... ha ha.

And you'll never believe it... The owl's an embroidered patch.

That wind that came up off the snow a few days back brought an unexpected surprise - a baby cockatoo... and it's extended family, ha ha.
They take over half of one of the trees out the front, and sit there while the little one gurgles and chuckles...
It's moved on to a tortured gurgling sound, now, so it won't be long before it's strutting around on the roof, shrieking, ha ha.
I reckon the parents are onto me - "Look, we've got a baby... Bring out all the food you've got...", ha ha.
The days are getting warmer - they're starting to scrape above the mid teens, so it won't be too long before I can relax in the pool... ha ha.
I've noticed, too that the days are getting longer, but the birds still congregate at the back door at exactly 5 o'clock, by the clock...
I suppose I shouldn't have taught them to tell the time, ha ha.
It would go some way to explaining why there's always one of them on the kitchen windowsill, about ten to five, watching the clock on the microwave... ha ha.
