This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

There are three ramps up to the roof from the bridgework...
One's right at the end of the house, and the other two are more or less at either end of the pergola.
One of the old man birds, having decided that it's bed time, was making his way up the ramp at the end of the house, towards the roof...
He was about a third of the way up...
One of the other old man birds was right at the bottom of the ramp next to the pergola, and saw him...
It started looking anxious... "I can't let him get to the roof, first...!", ha ha.
I've no idea why the roof is so important, but it is... ha ha.
Jump forward about twenty minutes, half an hour from then...
The evening settled in and the birds took their cue - it's bed time, time to go... so they went...
I took advantage of the quiet and went round to the big table to put the food out...
There was a Thump! on the pergola roof, followed moments later another Thump!
I looked up and there were two birds up there...
And a third bird up on the roof playing with a leaf - pick it up. bite it, clutch it in your claw... no, I'm bored now, I'm going to leave it here... oh look, a leaf! what a great toy! ha ha.
Three old men...
They like the place so much that they can't stay away... ha ha.
The cheeky, cheerful old man who used to take shortcuts across the garden so that he could catch up with me when I stopped, and then stand beside me looking up with a hopeful expression, hasn't been by in a few days.
I get the feeling that I might not see him again.
It's a pity, but that's what happens when I make friends with old birds...
They don't last, and all I'm left with is a few memories.
Good memories, though.

This was the Longaberger Basket Building in Ohio.
Apparently at the beginning of this year it sold for a mere 1.2mil (us) and stood on about 20 acres of land.
It was built in 1997, reportedly at a cost of 32mil (us)
Someone got a bargain.
