It's a busy day, here, today... ha ha...
We're all poised to see if the mercury gets over 40....
If it does, that'll be four consecutive days in a row (that's what the man on the news said, ha ha) of temperatures over 40, and that'll be a new record for Canberra... Whoopee! ha ha.
That tremor, up the road... It hit mid morning, 10 ish... The usual loud Bang, and that was about it... ha ha.
The house didn't shake, and nothing fell off the shelves, although I felt a slight sensation, the local dogs, and the birds, didn't seem to register it, so I don't think it was that big a deal, to them... ha ha.
Things which rate as big deals happen locally... ha ha.
The "Big Event" came a bit after midday...
Mum possum got up to have a drink....
Which means she could be seen by the birds...
Which meant one sharp shriek from a cockatoo, and clatter of "We don't like it, We're not happy" from the wattlebirds...
Which she duly ignored... ha ha...
I think the radar up at Sydney's suffering bit of a glitch, at the moment...
Every so often there's a "broken windscreen wiper" effect - a bar will appear on the screen, then hop, then disappear...
It's a bit odd, but it's not taking away from my enjoyment of the weather, ha ha.
I could have driven home last night, the twenty minutes or so necessary, with my lights off, the road ahead, and the sky above illuminated by the lightning show that brewed in the heavens...
It was bright enough, and sufficiently constant...
It might not have been "severe" enough to be mentioned in the BoM's paperwork, but it was quite the show, all the same...
