the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

This is a thread with no particular

Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂

So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Can we keep politics and religion out

Of the conversation

Did we have Spam here?

I only remember Tom Piper Camp Pie with the key on the top- and make sure not to cut yourself when you open it.

I think it may have been the only meat mum could afford at the time.  She made it lots of different ways.  But my favourite was slices fried in butter.

Edit: missed the bit about the 70's....but I still only remember Camp Pie from the 50's

Neither would I.

Spam is pork.

Camp Pie was made from beef and mutton

When I was a little bloke I remember having a combined text and picture book on aeroplanes...

One of the featured aircraft was a fighter plane, and the caption with the picture was that it was used as a Strike Aircraft...

Being young, and limited in my understanding of these things, I imagined that  the aircraft would see use at those times when the other pilots had downed tools, and were busy parading on the tarmac with protest signs...

But it seems that I was mistaken... ha ha .

Books, they're the doorway to a whole new world of understanding and knowledge... ha ha.

But to this day I still can't stifle a smirk when I hear or read about the Airforce's "latest strike fighter"... ha ha.

Thinking back, obviously the Palmolive wasn't up to to it's claim...

It never stopped Dad from using it to wash the dishes...

Deter-Gent? I don't think so... ha ha.

I put a potato in the microwave and pushed the Pizza button...

When the little bell rang I opened the door...

But it was still a potato... ha ha....

That dust storm that blew in a week or so back left a fine film on the car...

I was tempted to wet a fingertip and draw "flames" on the doors, but I thought it probably would've looked silly... ha ha.

I ended up taking to it with a broom for starters... it's clay dust, so adding water probably isn't going to be the brightest move, ha ha.

The dust got inside the house, too... I thought I'd got all the cobwebs round the house with the oversized dunny brush on a long stick, but there's always the ones you don't see, not until they've collected a fine coat of orange dust, anyway, ha ha...

The young and in love possums were at it again, last night, this time crashing around out in the garden, which is a nice change from crashing around on the roof, ha ha...

Mother came home about midnight, and he'd already made himself scarce... Clever boy... putting self preservation first... ha ha...

The young lady possum was still hanging around and Mother "berated" her... Only for three or  four hours... ha ha.

I get the feeling that Mother doesn't mind being considerate and giving them some space for an evening, but when it runs on over a couple of days, her patience wears thin... ha ha.

"It's my territory and I'm trying to raise a child and (probably most importantly), in my absence, Someone has been eating all My corn!"...

You can push her only so far, ha ha...
