This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

The fish pond's lying empty, now what do I do? - drain, clean, refill, clean again the pond or pull it out and leave it kerbside?
If I pull it out there'll be a hole about 4 foot across and about 2 foot deep, that's gonna need more than a bag of potting mix to fill it.
I tried levering it out, but it sits on a couple of inches of springy topsoil, and the other 7/8ths is clay. No doubt moisture got in under the pond, and sticky, wet clay sticks, especially to fairly smooth fibreglass. The pond flexed, but nothing moved, so I decided rather than ending up with pieces of pond, because it wasn't likely to come out in one go, I'd just do the refill and clean.
This is not a weekend job. Well, maybe it is, as my weekends can run for several months.
I'll give it a week or so for the algae killer, and then get back into it, weather permitting.
With any luck, and knowing my skill for putting things off until later, I'll have a fresh, clean pond, ready to go by... hmmm... March?
There's never a dull moment, here.

She's one of mine.
I found the idea in a book - it was a simple box with with squares, instead of spines, a sort of "Put Your Message Here And Make The Letters Dance" idea.
A good idea, but I thought it needed a touch of my particular imaginative skill.

around 10 years ago at our old place we had pretty much the same problem
hubby had made a pond years before brick sides and then concrete layer inside it was about 7ft x 5ft pretty big and it was great for years but the upkeep got to much for us .......... so what to do ??
hubby ended up whacking a few cracks in the bottom (hard work)
then we filled it with layers of soil from the garden (was large) contents of 2
large compost bins and a bale of straw let it all settle for a few weeks then planted a crab apple tree in the middle and flowers ended up looking realy nice

You're right about that. I found a large-ish green (I think it's green, it needs a clean) glass ball.
I really don't remember how that got there.

Probably a "decorative" piece.......ex fishing net float.
There you go MacGyver, bit of macrame therapy, while waiting for the pond to de-algae-fy.

What worries me is that I'm pretty sure I've got directions for making that kind of a net.
The things I find and keep, just in case...
