This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

'Morning!
The wattlebird was hovering, somewhere between impatient and expectant...
I said to him "You can see the bread... it's in the bowl... do you want to land on the bowl...?".
Okay, says the bird, and lands on the rim of the bowl...
Straight away it's obvious that the rim of the bowl isn't a comfortable perch...
I'm holding the bowl on one side, so when the bird lands on the other side, naturally enough, the bowl moves...
The bird does not look pleased by this, either...
This isn't working in the manner he'd envisaged...
We need a new plan... ha ha.
In the end we compromised... The bird perched on a branch and I held the bowl up for him, so that he could make his selection...
Spoilt, much?
Well, not if you ask him... ha ha.
I better go and "encourage" the little girl magpie to leave the currawongs alone... (Again... ha ha ).
(You have to say this bit in a loud voice, even if only in your head...) - "My Bread! My Bread! MY Bread!! Mine! MINE!!".
She's a treasure, ha ha.
I'm pretty sure that the currawongs don't agree with me on that, ha ha.

Mother magpie and I shared the coincidence of my being out the back with the pasta just as she arrived, seeking pasta, ha ha.
She picked up three pieces that were stuck together and headed for the roof...
"Do you want me to leave the rest here?" I asked...
Is that one of those questions that needs an answer? ha ha.

Takeaway was about half way out the doorway, enjoying the evening light...
The old man bird with the busted leg, meanwhile, at the other end of the pergola, was contemplating climbing the ramp up to the roof...
"Nah!", he said... "Too much work..." and leapt from the bridge, up onto the roof...
He's coming along well, ha ha.
Takeaway took that as her cue to come out of the doorway and sit on the platform outside the house.
With the doorway clear, Zoo took that as her cue to gallop down the bridge, to breakfast, ha ha.
She started eating, then saw me standing where I always stand, for breakfast...
Without her mother in the way, to "shield" her, she didn't quite know what to do...
So she "hid" in "the corner", still clutching at, and nibbling on her piece of bread...
Well, she has her priorities, ha ha.
Where the upright pillar and the plastic mesh on the side and the platform meet is a corner, of sorts...
"You wouldn't make fun of my corner if my Mum was here...", ha ha.
With breakfast duly dispatched, Takeaway went over to the water dish to have a drink...
And so did Zoo...
Who pushed her way in front of Mum, and drank delicately while Takeaway tried not to look smug - "My little girl's drinking from the water dish, just like a grown up... She's very advanced for her age...", ha ha.
